Here we have another nicely made 3 1/2" gauge GWR Hall, this time a larger boilered modified Hall. She's been a runner, but is still nicely tight on the bottom end and we don't forsee any great issues with re-commissioning he back to life. The boiler looks to be well made and judging by the soot build up in the smoke box, she hasn't seen too much use.
The paint is a rather garish and not of course prototypically accurate, so we started to flat her back for a fresh coat of,..... wait for it,.... Hogwarts Castle red! That's still our plan, and if she is still here and available for us to continue the re-paint in a couple of months when workshop time allows we will finish her off and re-list her at a slightly higher price in her fresh paint. We've had quite a lot of 'Hall' enquiries though, so thought we would pop her up for sale as she is in case someone would like to take her before the re-paint.
Fitted with an injector, an axle pump with footplate mounted bypass valve and a hand pump in the tender. The loco also has a steam brake (much use as they actually are in the real world on a 3 1/2"),.... and lubrication is mechanical under the front running board.
She can of course be given a full hydraulic and steam test so that she's ready to hit the rails and play.
